Introduction
I dunno why, but I needed to make another Fan Fic before the idea slipped out of my head. This FF will be a little mish moshed at first, but bear with me would ya! Just like in the other one, you'll find charries you do know, and charries you don't, so stick around and all will be explained. And BTW, TK, yet again, is my friend, and Gabrielle IS NOT the same charrie as Raven.
Chapter one: The Hammock
Real World
A Giant sailboat made it's way across the vast ocean, cutting through the waves like a knife through water.
Two sisters lay curled up in a hammock in between two masts, asleep. The oldest, by the name of Katie, faced the water, but was on the side closest to the mast, her legs tucked under her, and one arm around her sister, Raven, who was also facing the water, but was on the side closest to it.
Seagulls wheeled overhead, screaming to each other, but not waking the children. They had considered seagulls, and the crashing of the waves against the ship their lullaby.
Gabrielle, their youngest sister, pranced around the bow with her doll, looking at the dolphins playing alongside the ships pointed front.
"Ooh, look at the pretty fishies!" she exclaimed to noone in particular.
Gabrielle was about 9, but Katie and Raven were ages 15 and 16. Which meant they usually left Gabby to play by herself...
The sun shone on the deck, into the faces of Raven and Katie, neither of which stirred. Katie started fidgeting, she was waking up. She, eyes still shut, stretched her arms and yawned, making sure not to tip the hammock and wake her sister. Gabby skipped over to her.
"Hiya! Katie's awake now?" she chirped
"Shhhh," whispered Katie "don't wake Raven up!"
"Oh..."
"Yes I'm awake now, so let me go get dressed."
Gabby saluted Katie, and ran off to the stern, probably to bother their father, the captain, but no matter. Katie pulled herself up, and walked into the small cabin by the middle of the boat, pausing at the door to look at the sky. It was a pinkish red.
"Red Sky in morning, sailor take warning, red sky at night, sailor's delight..." she recited to herself.
Well, it looks like they were going to have a strong wind heading their way, so she'd better dress tightly.
She went into the cabin and opened the trunk beneath her bed, which she never used. She pulled an ice blue skirt and matching halter top from the trunk, and reclosed it, going into the bathroom to shower and change...
Meanwhile, up on deck, Raven had gotten up, and was playing with her sister.
"C'mon Gabby, and I'll show you the Crow's Nest!" Raven called to her
So her sister hoorayed, and dropped her doll, right next to the fireplace, and the dog, Daigo...
Later on, near dark, a spark finally reached the doll, and it was during the high winds. The doll cought on fire, catching the rug on fire. Daigo yelped and ran out, crying like mad.
The rug soon caught the table on fire, and soon the walls, and by now, people were noticing, and yelling for help.
"Gabby, come here! Katie! Where are you?!?!?" Raven screamed, pulling Gabby towards her.
"I'm over here Raven!"
Katie ran over, dodging the sparks that had reached the sail.
"They'll never be able to beat the flames!" she bellowed over the shouts of the people "Mom told us to take a life boat and run!"
"But mommy!!!" Gabby called, reaching a hand to her mother.
"No! Gabby come on! We have to run!" Raven ordered.
They sprinted over to the lifeboats, avoiding rougue flames, and jumped in, tying Gabby down, and putting Daigo in as well. The lauched off, riding the huge waves, andw atching as the firey masts of their ship, sank beneath the inky depths...
Soon the waves were unbearable, and no matter how hard Raven and Katie tried, they would keep getting swamped.
"We have to jump!" Katie yelled
"Are you INSANE?!?!?" Raven scolded "What about Gabby and Daigo?"
"I'll hold onto Gabby! You get Daigo!"
So they grabbed onto their obvectives, and leaped into the swirling waves...
