Note-There is no real specific name for this yet.
A new ability we are introducing is an occational, emotion based ability, specially for the digimon themselves. When the digimon reaches a high point in the emotion, special attacks are usable, just for that point.
1. At least for starting, the digimon only gains two extra special attacks.
2. This is not a serious power boost. As a champion, you do not have the power of an ultimate, you just simply have the power of a stronger champion than before. In other words, this is not really a heavy power boost. The special techniques is basically most of what this does.
3. You may have one of your two new abilities be attacks, but, the other must be something else. You may, however, have both of them not be attacks, but the atribute yours is based on must coincide. For example. You cannot have a violent emotion be what its based on and have both abilities be protective or curelative.
4. You must make sure that when you get it, it fits the plot. You need to make sure that your digimon char getting this thing makes sence, and that how you got it makes sence.
5. This is not an all the time thing. It is more of a occational, out of nowhere thing. Do not try to manipulate every battle so you can access it, just use it when if fits.

Could there be element-based abilities? Example: a Digimon that specializes in fire-based attacks runs through a burning forest, or maybe through a river of magma, and the heat activates a new ability...

Environmental things wouldn't activate the emotion overdrive. You're extra abilities gained by the Emotion overdrive can be elemental yes, but a specific emotion needs to be triggered.

Wedge is right. This is an EMOTION overdrive, though, there are other attributes that work, such as my Neodevimon's Corruption. Think crest.

Pretty much ya, it's like a trait. Even though, for Undramon 'loyalty' isn't an emotion, it can be either something displayed by a Digimon that makes sense. I only chose loyalty because Undramon is pretty much one of the most loyal digimon I think, so, and he's only really loyal to Wedge and Strabimon (Pirelli too )

i didn't mean about the emotion thing. I ment if there can be something like it, like instead of emotions activating abilities, it's elemental.

As we already said, it has to be an attribute power. Its kinda like the crests. It CAN give elemental abilities, but it is still an attribute power, so, it still has to be of an attribute, needs the attribute to power up, and so on.
